Detailed Tour Plan
Your safari begins early in the morning with pick-up from your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala. Begin the scenic drive to southwestern Uganda, passing through small towns, traditional villages, and rolling green hills. There will be a stop at the Equator crossing for photographs and refreshments.
Continue the journey toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, arriving in the late afternoon. Check in at your lodge, relax, and receive a briefing from your guide about the following day’s gorilla trekking experience.

After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for registration and briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You will be assigned to a specific gorilla family group and guided into the forest by experienced trackers.
The trek can last between two and eight hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Hiking conditions vary and may include steep slopes, dense vegetation, and muddy terrain, making moderate physical fitness important.
Once the gorillas are located, you will spend one magical hour observing them at close range. Witness their social interactions, feeding habits, and playful behavior in their natural habitat. Photography is allowed without flash.
Return to the lodge in the afternoon for relaxation and reflection on this extraordinary wildlife encounter.
Optional afternoon community walk to visit the Batwa people and learn about their traditional forest lifestyle.
